Haydenfilms announces a Film Workshop and Business of Entertainment Panel featuring two-time Academy Award winner, Ron Judkins

In partnership with HPL 501c3 Institute and students from the Entrepreneurship Club of Kutztown University, Haydenfilms Institute (HFI) is hosting a film workshop on Saturday and Sunday, April 5 and 6, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. High school students will have an opportunity to meet with entrepreneurs and business leaders and learn about growing a business in today’s economy.

"The importance of teaching hands-on business strategies for our next generation student is more important than ever,” HFI Founder and Executive Director, Hayden Craddolph says. “Pure theory-based teaching is not enough for our students’ success in this rapidly changing digital world. We are confident that this hybrid film workshop will challenge their abilities and provide a platform for discovery and growth in today’s competitive environment."
The event will include a live Business of Entertainment Panel discussion after the screening of the award-winning film Finding Neighbors, directed by two-time Academy Award winner, Ron Judkins. Students will also learn from high-powered experts at HFI and will compose their own storyboards and scripts, while becoming producers. They’ll direct the action and produce short commercials for a business. They’ll also leave the program with a comprehensive binder of notes and relevant articles, techniques and more.
The program is currently open to students ages 14 to 18. Those who wish to apply should complete the online application available at or print and send one to the address provided online. Applications are due by March 31st.

Finding Neighbors will be screened at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, followed by the live Business of Entertainment panel which will feature Judkins; Greg Sarangoulis, sponsor to Haydenfilms Institute and owner of Advantage Point Student Apartments; Hayden Craddolph, Executive Director of Haydenfilms Institute; and more to be named. Both the panel and screening are open to public at large and will take place at Kutztown University’s Student Union Building in the Alumni Auditorium. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.

“I met Hayden at the DC Independent Film Festival about five weeks ago,” Judkins says. “He reached out about the screening and being part of the workshop and I said of course. I believe in what he’s doing.”
