Without your continued support, HFI would not be possible. Whether it is through volunteering, donation, or corporate sponsorship for special events and programs, you can help HFI achieve its goal of empowering, educating and funding student and independent filmmakers.

Haydenfilms Institute believes that a strong relationship between itself and local students and communities is a key to shared successes. Here are a few ways you or your organization can get involved with Haydenfilms:

Youth Media Initiative

HFI’s Youth Media Initiative program is designed to raise awareness of, and take a stand against, violence, substance abuse, and other social issues affecting this generation of youth and their communities. Haydenfilms Institute is currently looking for volunteers to work with in both leadership and fundraising capacities:

Leadership

Volunteer leaders will work closely with participating organizations and Haydenfilms staff to create lesson plans for Youth Media Initiative program workshops. Participating as a leader will offer you not only personal and professional rewards but will also count towards community service hours for your organization.

Fundraising

HFI has utilized the student-run canister solicitation model with a very high success rate. In order to continue this success, volunteer fundraiser commitment is vital for at least nine days of active canister fundraising between January 28th and May 15th, 2013. Organizations are also encouraged to experiment with alternative fundraising methods. In exchange for your time, 20% of all funds raised by you will be donated back to your group. Volunteers also have the opportunity to win a five day/four night trip for two at a Hilton Resort in either New York, Las Vegas, Orlando, or Hawaii!
